Laws LJ lauded the Brown Book then 'as a vade mecum to the (then) new regime; 'assembled by experts and convenient and easy to use'. So, 10 years on, this new edition of the annually updated 'Civil Court Service' maintains the virtues of the original, while encompassing a wealth of new material which reflects the momentous changes and updates to the CPR. Now that we are looking at the 51st update to the CPR, you should regard it as a matter of professional necessity to acquire your copy of 'Civil Court Service 2010'. It would be impractical as well as impossible to list all the new material in the 2010 edition, but noteworthy are, for example, particular amendments stemming from the Legal Services Act 2007, including the change to Part 6 to 'permit service of documents on a party's legal representative in the European Economic Area (EEA).
